The Windom Women of Today hosted the Cottonwood County Christmas Cheer Box and there were record numbers this year.
A total of 325 children and 125 families benefited, the most since they started the program in 1996. Parents pick gifts out by appointment and every child received a stuffed animal, two gifts (toys), hats and mittens, one clothing item, five stocking stuffers, a color book and a story book.
Every family also received a blanket or a quilt and one or two board games, depending on the ages of the children.
