Fourth-graders tackle gingerbread tradition

Every year, Windom Area Schools fourth-graders gather in the school’s commons/lunchroom area for their tasty annual project – gingerbread house decorating.

This year was no different as the students started the day setting up their houses in the morning before the real fun began. Once the afternoon hit, the students brought out the various candies and frostings to decorate, with half of the decorations going in their mouths and half on the house.

As always, the longtime tradition was a tasty, sugar-filled success.
