Luverne scored nine straight goals to take a commanding lead Thursday night, rolling to a 9-1 victory over the Windom Area girls hockey team at the Windom Arena.
The Cardinals scored three times in each period, building a 9-0 lead before the Eagles netted their lone goal of the game.
Reagan Haugen scored a power play goal with 4:21 left on the clock in the final period to break up the shutout. Ella Dockter assisted on the play.
Luverne outshot the Eagles 62-20 in the game. Goalie Fiona Robillard finished with 53 saves.
