This year’s annual Festival of Trees begins Sunday with the opening of the exhibit at the Cottonwood County Historical Society.
The trees are designed by local businesses and organizations and there is a contest for the most popular tree. While viewing the 14 trees, bring your quarters or dollars to vote for your favorite by putting money in the canister near the tree.
The trees are designed by the following organizations, businesses and individuals: Windom Cotton Quilters, Windom Service Club, Compassionate Friends, Sons of Norway, Cottonwood County Development Achievement Center, Women of Today, Culligan of Windom, Deb Haar, Jackie Jurgens, ElevaCare, Eva Lopez, Southwest Crisis Center, Cottonwood County Animal Rescue and the Cottonwood County Historical Society.
The winners will be announced in early January.
