There are few greater honors, for a local business, than to receive an award that’s voted on by other Windom businesses.
To receive such an award is, in a word, huge. And, to collect two awards is considered by many to be absolutely stunning.
That was the case for Staples Oil Company at Friday night’s Windom Area Chamber of Commerce Gala in the Windom Community Center. Staples Oil Company, which has been in business since 1979, received the “Outstanding Large Business Award” and also “Community Sportsmanship Award.”

• Shannon LaCanne — “Social Media Superstar”
• Hilary Mathis — “Community Champion Award”
• Ashley Johnson — “Coach of the Year”
