Windom Area Schools is seeking public input concerning a proposed project to construct new fine arts and athletics facilities on the school campus.
The district has mailed out surveys to every district household and is asking eligible voters to complete the survey to give feedback on the proposed project.
The district noted it is working to minimize the potential cost to taxpayers for the project through various grant applications and a naming rights program. Additionally, the Ag2School Credit could fund potentially $14 million of the proposed $35 million project.
Each household will receive a unique code to complete the survey online. If there are two or more eligible voters in a household wishing to complete the survey, call the school at 507-831-6910 to request a second code.
Responses to the survey are due by Dec. 2, and will help shape the district’s plans in preparation for a special election for a building referendum on May 13, 2025.
