A Mass of Christian Burial to honor the life and legacy of Veronica Wolff, age 94, of Heron Lake, will be held Saturday, November 16th at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in rural Heron Lake.
A visitation for Veronica will be held on Friday, November 15th, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake with parish prayers at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake for one hour prior to the service. Veronica Ruth McNab Wolff (94), of Heron Lake, MN, died peacefully on Saturday evening, November 9, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom, MN. Veronica was born in Nobles County, MN, to the late John and Ann (Habeck) McNab on January 20, 1930. She attended grade school in Okabena, MN and moved to Brewster with her family in 1943, at which time she started 8th grade. She graduated from Brewster High School in 1948 as valedictorian of her class.
Veronica was united in marriage to Milton Dale Wolff on September 24, 1951, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brewster. Milton and Veronica farmed 3 miles north of Heron Lake from January 1952 through 2015. They celebrated 67 years of marriage together.
Veronica was a longtime and faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake where she volunteered sewing and in Ladies Aid for many years. Veronica enjoyed her favorite things in life including family – especially spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, reading, traveling, sewing, quilting, cheering on kids in sports (the loudest), Birthday Club, gardening, golfing, fishing, hunting, camping, time at the lake and cookouts with the family.
Veronica is survived by seven sons and one daughter: David (Shell) Wolff of Monroe, CT, James (Marlene) Wolff of Farmington, Charles (Kimberly) Wolff of Burnsville, Jane Wolff of Lakeville, Robert (Denise) Wolff of Heron Lake, Donald (Stacy) Wolff of Middletown, OH, Roger “Rod” Wolff of St. Paul, and Timothy (Ellen) Wolff of Heron Lake; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren: Adam (Angela) Wolff and children, Alaina and Gabe, Brittany (Brett) Stoler and children, Brody and Bryant, Justin (Taylor) Wolff, Kristina (Marcus Khan) Wolff, Daren (Erin Traxler and baby) Bloom and children, Corbin and McKenna, Amelia (Casey) Fisher and children, Finn, Rowan and Miles, Sierra (Nikolai) Michaelson and children, Juuri and Valo, Jessica (Nicholas) Anderson and children, Stevie and Parker, Maddy (Brian) Giesel, Hayden Wherley, Loren Wherley, Megan Wolff, Evan Wolff, Skylar Wolff, and Rhett Wolff; two sisters, Mary (Robert) Weaver of Minneapolis, and Helen Baughn of Mankato; two brothers, John (Sandra) McNab of Hutchinson, and Jim McNab of Springfield, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Veronica was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Wolff; son, Thomas Wolff; her parents; two sisters, Anna Marie (John) Mathias and Rose “Pat” (Richard) Krukemeyer.
