With Halloween quickly approaching both Windom and Jeffers have set their annual trick-or-treat hours for Thursday.
For Windom and Jeffers trick-or-treaters will get to collect candy from 4-7 p.m.
In Jeffers, a curfew has been posted from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The city will be patrolling throughout the night to make sure it is followed.
For other county communities you are asked to check with your city hall.
Anyone wishing to have trick-or-treaters come to their door should turn on their outdoor light to signal they welcome trick-or-treaters. When they are done for the evening, homeowners should turn off the outside light.
Also, motorists are encouraged to use extra caution on Halloween night because trick-or-treaters can be hard to see at night and they sometimes can cross the street without any notice.
