The Windom Area School Board have engaged with School Perceptions to send a survey to gather information regarding a new athletic complex and fine arts center at the school.
The survey will be sent out to the public through the postal service and arriving around mid-November.
To address all of the needs of arts and athletics, Windom Area Schools Superintendent Jamie Frank said the cost will be approximately $33 million.
“This would include a fine arts center, an athletic complex, a space for wrestling, a space for gymnastics, and a locker room remodel,” Frank said via email. “The intent is to braid funding so that the taxpayers are not asked to cover the entire cost.”
“The district would like to include naming rights to these facilities to help ease the burden of the taxpayer’s dollar amount,” Frank said.
She said the survey will be mailed to all residents in the district on or around Nov. 13. The survey will be due on Dec. 2.
