The Windom Eagle football team ended the regular season with a 4-4 record following a 54-7 loss Wednesday at Springfield.
The Tigers, currently ranked second in the state in Class A, came out firing throughout the game, passing for six touchdowns in the game.
The Eagles scored their only touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter, when Lane Caldwell scored on a 21-yard run. Alex Gomez kicked the extra point.

Mt. Lake Area rolled into the playoffs in impressive fashion Wednesday, smashing to a 52-13 victory over Renville County West in Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines scored on four of their first five offensive possessions in the game, building an insurmountable 30-7 halftime lead.
MLA struck first, scoring on a 9-yard Evan Karschnik run and two-point conversion.
Then, after forcing a turnover on downs, the Wolverines added an 8-yard touchdown run by Jake Evers for a 14-0 lead.
RCW mishandled the ensuing kickoff, starting its next drive from its own 4-yard line. Two plays later, quarterback Austin Rice was sacked in the end zone by Ethan Rahn for a safety and a 16-0 lead. Following the free kick, the Wolverines needed just one play to find the end zone, as Evers hit Rahn with a 45-yard pass for a 22-0 lead.
After the Jaguars cut the lead to 22-7 late in the half, the Wolverines needed just four plays and less than a minute of clock to score on a 1-yard run by Rahn with 19 seconds left in the half. Layne Wall’s two-point conversion made the score 30-7.
RCW cut the Wolverine lead to 30-13 before the Wolverines finished strong. Karschnik rushed for an 11-yard touchdown, then Karschnik passed to Evers for the two-point conversion for a 38-13 lead.
After a dazzling interception by Jason Wright, the Wolverines scored on a 1-yard run by Evers, who added the extra point kick for a 44-13 lead.
Karschik’s 7-yard run and the extra point kick by Evers gave MLA the 52-13 win.
Evers finished the game with 226 yards rushing on 15 carries. Karschnik rushed 19 times for 136 yards in the win. Evers completed 3-of-5 passes for 67 yards.

RRC 14-24-00-08 = 46
Red Rock Central used a punishing ground game and an opportunistic defense Wednesday, putting together its most complete game of the season to date with a 46-18 win over Cedar Mountain at Lamberton.
The Falcons rushed for 382 of the team’s 431 total yards in the game. Much of the damage came by virtue of the feet of Carter Therkilsen, who rushed his way to 310 yards and four touchdowns in the game.
Meanwhile, the Falcon defense picked off four Cedar Mountain passes, including three in the first half. That led to three RRC touchdowns.
The Falcons struck first on a 3-yard Therkilsen run for a 6-0. Jake Erickson added a 1-yard touchdown run for a 14-0 lead after one quarter.
The Falcons padded the lead in the second, as Therkilsen scored on runs of 63 and 34 yards for a 30-0 lead.
After Cedar Mountain got on the board, the Falcons scored on a 38-yard pass from Abe Stavnes to Jordan Therkilsen. RRC led 38-12 at halftime.
The final Falcon score was on a 6-yard Carter Therkilsen run in the fourth quarter.
Therkilsen rushed 28 times for 310 yards in the win. Stavnes had eight rushes for 40 yards. As a team, the Falcons completed 4-of-5 passes for 49 yards, with Jordan Therkilsen recording all four catches.
