Red Rock Central took control over the final two sets Tuesday night, surging to a 3-1 victory over Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda in Lamberton.
After winning a dominant opening set, the Falcons jumped to an early lead in set two, only to see HLOF battle all the way back for the win.
RRC again built an early lead in the third set, but was able to hold off HLOF’s mid-set rally to claim a 25-20 win. In set four, the Falcons again had an early lead, then seized momentum late to claim a 25-22 win, winning the match.
Tia Donkersloot led the Falcons at the service line, going 19-of-19 with three aces. Natasha Erickson was 20-of-22.
Donkersloot had a team-high 15 kills. Ally Linder and Abby Evans had eight kills each.
Erickson finished with 33 set assists. Maia Scheffler had 20 digs.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove was able to keep Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey off-balance Tuesday night, as the Chargers rolled to a 3-0 sweep in Westbrook.
The match was highlighted by lengthy service runs and strong blocking at the net by the Chargers, as the Wolverines struggled to find their footing in the middle and late stages of each set.
Kylie Phommachan led MLAC at the service line, going 9-of-9 with two aces. Ashlyn Pfeiffer was 7-of-7 with two aces.
Pfeiffer led the Wolverines with four kills. Reagan Pedersen and Brie Anacker had three kills each.
Nadia Phommachan had a team-high five set assists. Phithsada Phoumivong had nine digs.
