Supt. Frank: There’s no current plan for special election

A note in last week’s Citizen county commissioner meeting recap left the impression a special election could be coming for the Windom School District — but apparently that is not the case, at least not yet.

Windom Area Schools Superintendent Jamie Frank said at this time, there are no plans in place to run a special election regarding a new athletic complex at the high school.

She said the district is actively seeking information regarding the possibilities of such a project.

Currently, the school is playing its home football (and some home soccer games that are scheduled for Windom) on the temporary field at the high school due to the flooding of Island Park, rendering it unplayable.
