Red Rock Conference leader Southwest Christian got more than it bargained for Thursday night, needing to rally from behind in two sets before claiming a 3-0 sweep over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey in Mt. Lake.
The opening set was back and forth throughout until the late stages, when the Eagles rattled off a seven-point run to close out a 25-17 win.
MLAC battled back, racing out to an 11-3 lead in the second set before SWC rallied, eventually winning 25-22.
In the third set, the Wolverines again jumped out to a lead, but SWC rallied with another lengthy service run, claiming a 25-20 win.
Nadia Phommachan and Phithsada Phoumivong each had two ace serves in the match for the Wolverines.
Ashlyn Pfeiffer and Brie Anacker each finished with eight kills. Reagan Pedersen added five kills and had 10 set assists. Phoumivong had a team-high 12 digs.

Adrian-Ellsworth was able to overwhelm Red Rock Central Thursday night, coasting to a 3-0 sweep over the Falcons in Adrian.
The Dragons were able to limit the Falcons on offense by applying pressure from the service line, preventing RRC from setting up strong attacks until later in the match.
Ally Linder and Abby Evans each had seven kills for the Falcons in the loss.
Maia Scheffler went 12-of-12 serving and added 11 digs. Natasha Erickson finished with 21 set assists.
