The Wings United girls soccer team couldn’t overcome an early deficit Thursday night, dropping a 3-0 decision at Marshall.
The Wings were able to apply some offensive pressure, particularly in the second half. But Marshall’s Elsie Duetz was able to find herself in position to score three times, netting all three goals in the game for the Tigers.
The Wings’ defense stiffened in the second half, allowing only five shots on goal in the half, but the Wings, while able to apply offensive pressure, couldn’t get the ball on net in the game.
