While the temporary disaster recovery center in Windom is set to close Friday, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has announced another disaster recovery center opened today in the region.
The new center opened at the Fulda Senior Center, located at 107 N. Lafayette Ave. in Fulda.
Hours for the center are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Specialists from FEMA, the state of Minnesota and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be at the center to help people apply for federal disaster assistance, upload documents, get questions answered in person and access other types of assistance that may be available.
The deadline to apply for FEMA individual assistance is Oct. 27. Assistance can be applied for in person as a disaster recovery center or online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
