The Windom Eagle volleyball team opened Big South Conference play Thursday night with a 3-0 sweep at Luverne.
The Eagles used a balanced offensive attack to keep the Cardinal defense off-balance. Meanwhile, Windom was able to prevent the Cardinals from gaining momentum on offense, slowing down any scoring runs.
Hannah Dauer went 16-of-16 serving with an ace. Charlee Huska was 14-of-16 with an ace and Hadley Sammons went 10-of-11 with an ace.
At the net, Adison Hogan led the way with 14 kills. Dauer had seven and Ember Struck finished with six.
Huska notched 27 set assists in the win. Haidyn Sammons had a team-high 21 digs.
