The filing period for city offices and school boards continues through Aug. 13, but the ballot in the city of Windom appears like it will have another contested race.
In addition to a three-way race for mayor, two candidates have filed for the open seat in Ward 1. Filing for election are former council member Jayesun Sherman and newcomer Nathaniel Bjorklund.
Ward 2 incumbent Scott Benson also has filed for re-election.
For the Windom School Board, four seats are up for election, with two candidates filing so far. Incumbent Joel Bordewyk has filed for re-election. Also filing for election is newcomer Charles Pineda.
