Windom city officials and workers were busy over the last week and weekend hosting FEMA officials who are evaluating the flood damage in this area from the recent flood, and determining the level of need and response the federal and state governments may be able to offer.
EDA Director Tiffany Lamb especially encouraged homeowners in Windom, but also throughout the county, to make use of both the city and county damage assessment forms, and to send individual and data into the government.
Windom Mayor Dominic Jones estimated in the time after the flood that up to 90 percent of the homes in city of Windom were affected and damaged by the flood.
