Robert Ryan Dorr was born on July 31, 1954 in St. Paul, MN. He was adopted and came to live with his parents Dr. Warren F. Dorr and Edna Dorr Nelson in Jeffers, MN. Bob attended Jeffers Public School and Graduated in 1972 from Storden-Jeffers Public School. He went on to the University of St. Thomas and graduated with a business degree. He furthered his education at Mankato State.
Bob met the love of his life Gayle DuPaul, and they married on November 14, 1998.
They resided in Richfield, Burnsville, and most recently Tucson, Arizona. Bob passed away suddenly at his family lake home on Lake Shetek July 13, 2024 at the age of 69.
Bob loved his family and the Lord. He was a true man of God and lived his life honoring his faith. He gave the best hugs. His favorite place on earth was his family’s lake home on Lake Shetek. He loved to read, play cards, was an avid hockey fan, enjoyed hunting and golfing. He loved volunteering at the Tucson VA Hospital, and loved to travel with Gayle.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Gayle and Dog Finn, sisters Shawna (Mark) Jones, Tanley Dorr. Brothers-in-law Randy (Chris) DuPaul, Dave DuPaul and Mark (Amy Roberts) DuPaul. Nephews Matthew (Amanda) Langland, Timothy Jones, Patrick (Tana) DuPaul. Nieces Lindsay (Kevin Johnson) Langland, Riley Jones, Sara (Rachel) DuPaul, Madyn DuPaul, Kira DuPaul and many great nephews and nieces.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, step-father Victor J. Nelson, father-in-law Girard DuPaul, mother-in-law Evelyn DuPaul,
Bob was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Blessed be the memory of Robert Ryan Dorr.
