The city of Windom has announced that it has started the process of issuing refunds of individual and family season swimming passes, as well as fees for Session 2 and Session 3 of swimming lessons.
The decision to issue refunds was made by the Park and Recreation commission following recent flooding that has closed Island Park and the pool.
The refund process will take time, so city officials ask patrons of the pool to be patient. The city will need to go through online accounts to determine refund amounts, then reenter that information into the city’s financial program to issue checks.
City staff will process as many refunds as possible, with checks being issued on Wednesdays of each week until all refunds are issued.
