Keith Dennis Anderson 

A Celebration of Life Service for Keith  Anderson, age 75, of Windom, will be held  Monday, July 22, 2024, at 11 AM at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom with Pastor Daniel Hauck officiating.

A time of visitation and gathering will be held on Sunday, July 21, from 3 – 6 PM at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service on Monday, July 22, from 10-11 AM, at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom. The service will be livestreamed on the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center Facebook page. Keith Dennis Anderson, the son of the late Delbert and Ruth (Speckmeier) Anderson passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at his home in Windom, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Keith was born on November 8, 1948, in Slayton, Minnesota, one of five surviving children. The family lived in Currie, moving to Westbrook in the mid 50’s and then to rural Dundee on the family farm, near Speckmeier corner, in 1959. Keith received his early education in Curry, Minnesota before attending country school for one year. He then attended Westbrook Public Schools, graduating from Westbrook High School in the Class of 1966. Keith then furthered his education at Worthington Community College where he received an associate’s degree in liberal arts.

Keith was united in marriage to Karen Bestge from Fulda on May 29, 1971. In 1976, he was baptized into the Seventh Day Adventist Church. They made their home in Windom, raising three children: Jodie (married Jodi Madden), Emily (married Tom Prokosch), and Anita (married Travis Eichstadt). Keith worked at the TORO company in Windom where he was a material hander/forklift truck operator until his retirement after forty-seven dedicated years of work and service. While at TORO, Keith was the Union President and Union Steward along with the Administrator of Union Health Insurance for many years.

Keith was a longtime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Windom. He had many enjoyments in life which included vacationing, tending to his apple trees, whistling, and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he really enjoyed teasing.

Keith is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen Anderson of Windom; son, Jodie (Jodi) Anderson of Arlington, Emily (Tom) Prokosch of Windom, Anita (Travis) Eichstadt of Windom; 10 grandchildren, Kylee & Karter Anderson, Whitney Bartley (Chris), Taylor, Madison, Brooklyn, Sophie Prokosch, Eli, Ethan, and Easton Eichstadt; great-grandchildren, Landon, Nova, Reid; brother, John Anderson of Cannon Falls; brothers-in-law, Robert Barrie of Waseca and Ken Derickson of Windom; sisters-in law, Deanna Warner of Yankton, SD and Barbara Grimm of Manderson, WY; and several nieces and nephews.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert & Ruth Anderson; parents-in-law, John & Ella Bestge; infant brother, Darrell Anderson; sisters, Connie Barrie, Sandra Cassens, Judy Derickson; brother-in-law, Wayne Cassen and Ken Grimm; sisters-in-law, Joan Anderson, Ruth Ann and her husband, Bob BabeKuhl; and brother-in-law, Wayne Warner.
