ML board plans to call for referendum

It’s been in the works for a while, but the Mt. Lake Public School Board will likely make a fall operating levy referendum vote official at Monday’s regular meeting.

The board will act on a resolution relating to increasing the general education revenue of the school district and calling an election thereon.

The board also will finalize the wording of the ballot question, which will appear as part of the Nov. 5 general election in the district.

The board also plans to act on a possible property tax abatement related to infrastructure improvements within the school district. The move is to help offset cost overrun from the district’s parking lot project.
