Windom couple rolls with the punches of flood

In their 23 years at their current residence, Steve and Brenda Muller have never seen anything quite like this.

The Mullers, who live on 16th Street just south of Perkins Creek, have watched their backyard become more like a pond due to the recent floods.

As of Monday morning, they were running on very little sleep as they’ve been busy pumping water out of their basement and moving what was in their basement into their garage, among other places of higher ground.

The Mullers said they were awakened by police at about 4:30 a.m. on Friday and they didn’t go to bed until about 40 hours later.
