Wolverines, Coyotes split

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey came home with a split Thursday in a meet against Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda/Westbrook-Walnut Grove at Town and Country Golf Course in Fulda.

The Wolverine boys claimed a 166-177 win, while the Coyote girls picked up a 215-233 win.

MLAC’s boys were led by meet medalist Joey Faber, who shot a 39. Layken Marcy shot a 41, followed by Grant Oakland with a 42 and Brayden Oakland with a 44.

For the girls, Khya Boldt led the Wolverines with a career-best score of 54. Amiyah Oakland and Nevaeh Ott each shot a 58 and Danika Gohr had a 63.

RRC Home Meet

The Cedar Mountain boys and New Ulm Cathedral girls took top honors Thursday at a five-team meet held at Farmers Golf and Health Club in Sanborn.

For the girls, Cathedral shot a 241 to win the meet. Red Rock Central played with an incomplete team.

For the boys, Cedar Mountain shot a 182. RRC finished fourth in the meet with a 227.

RRC’s girls were led by Aryanna Weber with a 61. Raegan Carter shot a 72.

The Falcon boys were led by Keagan Steen and Kullen Steen, each with a 54. Reese Berg shot a 57.
