Huskies sweep Eagles

Jackson County Central earned a sweep over the Windom Eagle golf teams Friday at the Windom Country Club.

The Eagle boys and Huskies finished tied, each with a 169 team score. However, JCC won the meet on a fifth-score tiebreaker.

The Huskies girls shot a 244 against an incomplete Eagle varsity team.

For the boys, Windom’s Landon Pillatzki won medalist honors with a 39. Carter Rossow shot 41, followed by Eli Lund with a 42 and Henrik Harries with a 47. However, JCC’s fifth scorer outshot the Eagles’ fifth scorer 43-47.

For the girls, Ada Lund was the meet co-medalist with a 49. Ali Lund shot 55 and Olivia Joyce finished with a 71.

Coyotes sweep Falcons

Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda/Westbrook-Walnut Grove earned a golf sweep Friday over Red Rock Central in a meet played at Farmers Golf and Health Club in Sanborn.

HLOF/WWG’s boys claimed a 195-207 win. HLOF/WWG’s girls shot a 230 against an incomplete Falcon team.

RRC’s boys were led by Keagan Steen with a 48. Gavin Willardson shot a 52, followed by Reese Berg with a 53 and Mason Huffman with a 54.

The RRC girls were led by Aryanna Weber with a 59. Raegan Carter shot a 64.
