DAC hosts well-attended petting zoo experience

The Cottonwood County Developmental Achievement Center held an event in their parking lot recently that featured a petting zoo with everything from baby ducks to turtles to llamas.

New DAC director Amber Singleton said the idea was to do something different and give the clients a chance to interact with the animals.

The center helps people with disabilities develop new skills and experiences, and helps with employment opportunities for many.

Animals of Walton’s Hollow, owned by Alicia Miller out of Sherburn, donated the visit and provided all the animals and setup.
