GOLF: Wolverine boys second, girls third at first Red Rock meet

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey’s boys finished second and the girls were third at the first Red Rock Conference league tournaments Thursday. The girls played at Sanborn and the boys played at Slayton.

MLAC’s boys finished with a 379 score. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton won the meet, shooting a 377. Red Rock Central was sixth with a 425.

For the girls, MLAC was third with a 521 score. Murray County Central won the meet with a 392. Red Rock Central did not have a complete team.

Individually for the MLAC boys, Grant Oakland tied for third at the meet, scoring an 88. Maxton Fast shot a 93, followed by Joey Faber with a 98 and Landen Rempel with a 100.

Gavin Willardson led RRC, shooting a 93. Keagan Steen scored a 105, followed by Kullen Steen with a 111 and Reese Berg with a 116.

For the girls, Nevaeh Ott led MLAC, scoring a 102. Khya Boldt shot a 136, followed by Paige Wilson with a 139.

Aryanna Weber led RRC with a 111. Josie Timm shot a 136.
