Windom grad works on hallowed ground

Medicine may have given Windom native John Stemm a career direction, but sports have taken Stemm to many exciting places to practice his career.

Most recently, that has meant spending time at one of golf’s most famous courses — Augusta National.

Stemm, a 1986 Windom Area High School graduate, has been providing personal training for PGA Tour professional golfer Austin Eckroat, traveling with Eckroat to numerous PGA Tour sites.

That included a recent trip to Augusta National for The Masters, as well as last week’s trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C., for the RBC Heritage. Eckroat placed 17th at last weekend’s tournament.

Much more on Stemm’s work with a PGA golfer appears in the April 24 print and e-editions of the Citizen.
