TUESDAY TRACK: Eagles run at Redwood

RV Invite

Windom’s boys placed fifth and the girls took seventh at Tuesday’s Redwood Valley Invite, held in Redwood Falls.

The Eagle boys scored 67½ points. Montevideo won the meet with 118½.

The Eagle girls finished with 25 points. Redwood Valley won the meet with 127.

Windom’s boys were led by Aaden Nauman, who placed first in the 1,600 (4:39.42). Job Ogeka added a win in the triple jump (42-10) and the team of Ogeka, Thomas Green, Nauman and Kevin Bleess won the 4×400 relay (3:36.91).

For the girls, Kaylee Walklin placed first in the 1,600 (5:29.97). Toria Robillard added a win in the pole vault (9-9).

Panther II Invite

Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central’s boys placed eighth and the girls took ninth at the Panther II Invite, held Tuesday in Tracy.

WWG/RRC’s boys finished with 18 points. Hills-Beaver Creek won the meet with 110½.

WWG/RRC’s girls finished with 19½ points. BOLD/BLHS won the meet with 111.

The Charger boys were led by Bowen Hesse, who finished first in the 110 hurdles (16.67).

The top finishers for the Charger girls were Miranda Mischke, who was fourth in the 1,600 (6:15.55) and Amelia Sikel, who took fourth in the long jump (15-0).

Fairmont Invite

Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin’s girls and boys each finished fifth at the Fairmont Invitational, held Tuesday at Fairmont.

The MCWBO girls scored 61 points. Fairmont won the meet with 196½. The MCWBO boys scored 48 points. Fairmont won the meet with 239.

Individually for the Maverick girls, Ava Thate led the way, winning the high jump (4-10). Mylee Larson was second in the discus (88-7). Evelynn Christienson was second in the 1,600 (6:26.26) and Katie Hartke was second in the 3,200 (13:10.24).

For the boys, Bearent Kosbab won the 200 (23.77). Ryan Pierson won the 3,200 (10:02.52) with Grant Koehnen second (11:02.32).
