Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey gave up two big innings in the cold Friday afternoon, dropping a 13-1 decision to Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain in Comfrey.
The Jaguars plated five runs without the benefit of a hit in the top of the first inning. T/ML/GHEC drew four walks and had four hit batsmen in the inning.
The Wolverine scored their only run in the bottom of the second on a bases-loaded walk from Sam Pidde.
The score remained 5-1 until the top of the sixth, when the Jaguars plated six runs. MLAC was retired without a run scoring in the bottom of the sixth, ending the game.
Grant Regier took the pitching loss for the Wolverines, working the first two-thirds of an inning.
