TRACK: Eagle boys, Charger girls win

Windom Invite

The Windom boys and Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central girls captured team honors Thursday at a four-team meet held in Windom.

Windom’s boys scored 257 points. WWG/RRC was fourth with 54 points.

WWG/RRC’s girls won the meet with 160½ points. Windom was second with 110½.

Windom’s boys were paced by Kevin Bleess, who took first place in the 200 (24.11), 400 (57.33) and long jump (18-10).

Cole Purrington won the shot put (40-5½). Job Ogeka won the triple jump (39-9). Elliot Serreyn won the high jump (5-4). Aaden Nauman won the 1,600 (5:02.84). Bryce Green won the 3,200 (11:44.23). Windom also took first in the 4×200 (1:42.25), 4×400 (4:05.70) and 4×800 (9:55.25) relays.

First-place finishes for the Eagle girls included double-event winner Toria Robillard in the pole vault (8-6) and the 400 (1:08.46).

Lilly Meyer added a win in the discus (79-5) and Jocelyn Frank won the 3,200 (15:45.23).

WWG/RRC’s boys were led by Robert Yang, who took second in the long jump (18-7).

For the Charger girls, Anna Byers was a double-event winner, taking first in the 100 hurdles (18.64) and 300 hurdles (1:04.00). Miranda Mischke won the 1,600 (6:21.02). Ally Linder won the shot put (30-5). Amelia Sikel won the long jump (15-0) and Faith Marsh won the triple jump (27-9).
