GOLF: Eagle boys open with win

Eagle boys earn win

The Windom boys golf team saw its first action of the season Thursday, claiming a triangular win at Tracy.

Windom finished with a 187. Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City had a 197 and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton was incomplete.

All three of the girls teams in the meet were incomplete.

Windom’s boys were led by meet medalist Carter Rossow with a 41. Eli Lund shot a 43 and Caleb Tibodeau finished with a 49.

For the girls, Ada Lund earned medalist honors, shooting a 43. Olivia Joyce had a 61 and Ali Lund shot a 67.

MLAC earns sweep

The Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey golf teams earned a sweep of a triangular Thursday at Larchwood, Iowa.

The Wolverine boys shot a 185. Hills-Beaver Creek had a 209 and Red Rock Central scored a 214.

For the girls, MLAC finished with a 259. RRC and HBC each were incomplete.

MLAC’s boys were led by meet medalist Joey Faber with a 42. Landen Rempel shot a 45 and Maxton Fast had a 48.

RRC was led by Gavin Willardson with a 50. Keagan Steen shot a 51 and Reese Berg shot a 53.

For the girls, Nevaeh Ott led the MLAC girls with a 55. Amiyah Oakland added a 63 and Paige Wilson had a 69.

RRC was led by Aryanna Weber with a 57. Reagan Carter shot an 84 and Ava Juhnke had a 92.
