TUESDAY TRACK: Eagles, Chargers run at Luverne

Cardinal Relays

Windom and Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central each took part in the Cardinal Relays, held Tuesday in Luverne.

For the boys, Windom finished fourth with 82 points. WWG/RRC as ninth with 17. Luverne won the meet with 135½.

Windom’s girls were ninth with 26 points. WWG/RRC was 10th with 19. Luverne won the meet with 184½ points.

Windom’s boys were led by runner-up finishes from Braylen Lyons, Elias Jensen, Thomas Green and Aaden Nauman in the 4×400 (3:42.45) and from Nauman, Lyons, Bryce Green and Thomas Green in the 4×800 (8:45.21).

Jensen added a runner-up finish in the 800 (2:12.83). Nauman was third in the 3,200 (10:07.62). Job Ogeka was third in the triple jump (40-11½) and fourth in the 400 (56.82). Elliot Serreyn took fourth in the long jump (18-8¼) and the high jump (5-10). Cole Purrington was fourth in the discus (113-3). Thomas Green was fourth in the 1,600 (4:53.87).

Windom’s girls were led by Kaylee Walklin, who was second in the 1,600 (5:38.68). Toria Robillard finished third in the pole vault (9-0).

WWG/RRC’s boys were led by Bowen Hess, who finished fifth in the 110 hurdles (18.29). The 4×100 relay team of Robert Yang, Chris Xiong, Adrian Yang and Hesse finished fourth (49.47).

The Charger girls were led by Anna Byers, who finished fourth in the 100 hurdles (19.71). Ally Linder was fourth in the shot put (31-4½). Abby Wiggins placed fifth in the pole vault (7-6).
