STATE BOYS BASKETBALL: Wolverines get seeded fourth

The Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey boys basketball team received the fourth seed for the Class A State Tournament, which begins Thursday.

The Wolverines will open the tournament facing fifth-seeded Nevis, in a game played Thursday at 1 p.m., at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

The semifinals and finals of the tournament will be played at Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota, while the consolation round of the tournament will be played at Concordia University-St. Paul’s Gangelhoff Center.

Quarterfinals: March 21 at Target Center
Russell-Tyler-Ruthton vs. #1 Cherry, 11 a.m.
#5 Nevis vs. #4 Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey, 1 p.m.
Heritage Christian Academy vs. #2 West Central Area, 3 p.m.
Goodhue vs. #3 Fertile-Beltrami, 5 p.m.

Semifinals: March 22 at Williams Arena
RTR/Cherry winner vs. Nevis/MLAC winner, 12 p.m.
HCA/WCA winner vs. Goodhue/FB winner, 2 p.m.

Consolation Semifinals: March 22 at Concordia University
RTR/Cherry loser vs. Nevis/MLAC loser, 10 a.m.
HCA/WCA loser vs. Goodhue/FB loser, 12 p.m.

Consolation Finals: March 23 at Concordia University
8 a.m.

Third-place game: March 23 at Concordia University
10 a.m.

Championship: March 23 at Williams Arena
