Windom 30-16 = 46
St. Peter 57-25 = 82

The Windom girls basketball team couldn’t keep pace on offense with a red-hot St. Peter squad Saturday night, as the Saints rolled to an 82-46 victory in the Big South Conference Showcase at Blue Earth.

The Saints were able to blow the game open early with a string of three-pointers, taking a 21-point lead halfway through the opening half. The Saints then closed the first half with a flurry, stretching the lead to 27.

Windom was never able to counter on offense in the second half, as the Saints pushed the lead to nearly 40 points and put the final nine minutes of the game into running time.

But in the second half, the Raiders rallied, cutting the Wolverine lead down to single digits before MLAC stabilized in the closing minutes.
