TUESDAY GIRLS BASKETBALL: Eagles rally past Arrows

Windom 27-47 = 74
Pipestone 34-34 = 68

The Windom Eagle girls basketball team rallied in the second half Tuesday night, surging to a 74-68 victory at Pipestone.

The Eagles trailed by seven at halftime after the Arrows held the Eagle offense under wraps. Windom had just eight field goals in the opening half.

But in the second half, the Eagle defense stifled the Arrow attack, while the Eagle offense turned defense into offense. The Eagles converted 20 buckets in the second half, overtaking the Arrows by forcing turnovers and scoring fast-break buckets.

Hadley Sammons led the Eagles with 19 points. Haidyn Sammons added 18 points, Hannah Dauer scored 17 and Leah Hauge added 11 in the win.
