BOYS BASKETBALL: Eagles race to Saturday win

The Windom boys basketball team built an early lead and made it stand the entire second half, leading to an 88-68 victory over Sibley East Saturday in Arlington.

The Eagles were sharp from the field throughout the game, shooting 45% for the afternoon. That included hitting 13 three-pointers in the game.

The hot shooting was especially evident early, as the Eagles built a 21-point halftime cushion and never trailed in the game. Windom started the game with a 13-2 run and never led by less than 10 the rest of the way.

Elliot Serreyn led the Eagles with 24 points. Drew Rothenberger added 17 and Carter Rossow scored 12 in the win.
