TUESDAY GIRLS BASKETBALL: Early run lifts Eagles past Wolverines

The Windom girls basketball team got off to a hot start Tuesday night, building a commanding lead early on its way to a 79-46 win over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey at Mt. Lake.

The Eagles blew the game open with a 25-0 run in the early stages of the first half, turning a 6-4 deficit into a 29-6 lead. Windom led by 31 at halftime.

The Eagles were able to keep the lead above 25 points the duration of the second half.

Hadley Sammons paced the Eagles with 26 points. Hannah Dauer scored 13. Adison Hogan and Haidyn Sammons each scored 11.

Julia Brinkman led the Wolverines with 10 points. Annika Brinkman and Reagan Pedersen each scored eight in the loss.
