Bonnie Miller

A Celebration of Life Service for Bonnie Miller, age 82, of Windom, will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, at 2:00 PM at LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom, MN, with Pastor Sarah Larsen Tade officiating.

A time of visitation and gathering will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, March 2nd from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, at LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom.

Bonita Jean “Bonnie” (Hill) Miller was born to Robert and Lavilla (Trego) Hill on October 30, 1941, in Fargo, North Dakota. She attended public school and graduated from Frazee High School in 1959.

In 1964, Bonnie married Charles Miller. The marriage was blessed with one son, Spencer. They lived in Moorhead, Minnesota, until Charles graduated from Moorhead State University in 1965, at which time they moved to Parkdale, Oregon and lived there until 1968. In 1969, they moved to Butterfield, Minnesota until settling in Windom in 1976. In 1995, the marriage to Charles Miller was dissolved.

Nothing brought Bonnie more happiness than spending time with her family and friends, as well as her dog, Zoey. In her spare time, Bonnie kept working to improve her bowling game, she always enjoyed a round of golf, and was a skilled softball player. She also enjoyed watching all kinds of sports.

Many of Bonnie’s early years were spent as a homemaker until later, when she worked at Toro. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom.

Bonnie Miller passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Spencer (Peggy) Miller of Jordan, MN; three grandchildren, Zachary, Kayla, and Jordin; one great-grandchild, Braxton; and brothers, Richard (Pam) Hill of Minnesota and Jerry (Nani) Hill of Arizona/Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lavilla Hill. Condolences and memories of Bonnie may be sent online to www.lacannefuneralhome.com.
