GIRLS BASKETBALL: Huskies pull away late, top Eagles

The Windom Eagle girls basketball team sputtered in the second half Friday night, as Jackson County Central pulled away late for a 79-64 win at Windom.

The Huskies raced to an early lead, leading by as many as 17 points in the first half, but the Eagles battled back, tying the game at 39-39 heading into halftime on a three-pointer at the buzzer.

The Eagles trailed by one point halfway through the second half before JCC closed the game with a 32-18 run.

Hadley Sammons led the Eagles with 20 points. Hannah Dauer scored 14 and Haidyn Sammons added 13.
