GIRLS HOCKEY: Eagles fall to Luverne

The Windom Area girls hockey team couldn’t keep pace on offense Thursday night, as Luverne raced to a 9-1 victory at Luverne.

The Cardinals outshot the Eagles 51-6 for the contest, including 20-3 in the opening period and 12-0 in the final period.

Luverne led 3-0 when the Eagles scored their only goal of the game, as Marenna Bang scored off an assist from Addison Schumacher at the 5:56 mark of the second period. Luverne later added a pair of power play goals to take a 6-1 lead after two periods.

Fiona Robillard finished with 42 saves in the loss.
