BOYS HOCKEY: Bluejays roll past Eagles

The Windom Area boys hockey team fell behind in the opening period and struggled to generate offense Friday, taking a 9-1 loss at Waseca.

The Bluejays scored 24 seconds into the game, but the Eagles answered with a goal at 3:54 of the opening period, as Wriley Haugen took a feed from Sonny Heil and found the back of the net.

But Waseca quickly answered, then scored three goals in quick succession to take a 5-1 lead after one period. The Bluejays tacked on three goals in the second, then outshot the Eagles 15-0 in the final period.

Goalie Adam Dahna finished with 46 saves in the loss.
