New compressor provides life-saving air

The Windom Fire Department recently had an air compressor go bad and had to replace it in an era where much of the equipment is highly specialized and quite expensive.

Windom Fire Chief Ben Derickson explained that the Revolve Air compressor provides the air to fill the smaller tanks that the firefighters wear to battle blazes, and that air is not like what you get from a car tire or farm shop compressor.

The air is compressed up to 6,000 psi and must be filtered perfectly as every bit of contaminant and moisture must be removed before it goes into the tanks used to provide human-safe air.
