BOYS BASKETBALL: Wolverines rally past Patriots

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey roared to life in the second half Thursday night, erasing an eight-point halftime deficit to claim a 62-54 win over Hills-Beaver Creek at Hills.

The Wolverines were able to rev up the defensive intensity in the second half, recording 12 steals as a team for the game.

The Wolverines also shot 51% from two-point range for the game, with many of those shots coming in transition.

Carter Olson paced the Wolverines with 22 points. Grant Oakland added 16 points in the win.

RRC 39-31 = 70
Edgerton 24-29 = 53

Red Rock Central was sharp from the field Thursday night, surging to an early lead on its way to a 70-53 win at Edgerton.

The Falcons pounded the ball into the paint much of the night, shooting 56% from two-point range in the game. RRC also outscored Edgerton 18-7 from the free throw line.

Jayden Lang led the Falcons with 28 points. Isaac Simonson finished with 19 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists. Ashton Holmen added 11 points in the win.
