TUESDAY BOYS BASKETBALL: Cardinals rout Eagles; Wolverines, Falcons win

Redwood Valley was in control from the start Tuesday night, never trailing as the Cardinals routed the Windom boys basketball team 104-60 at Redwood Falls.

The Cardinals blew the game open halfway through the opening half, opening up a 25-point halftime cushion while outscoring the Eagles 34-7 off turnovers and 17-4 in transition.

The Cardinals also held a dominant 55-33 edge on the glass, including 27 offensive rebounds.

Job Ogeka and Carter Rossow ach scored 11 points in the loss to lead the Eagles.

The Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey boys basketball team dominated the second half Tuesday night, cruising to a 79-55 victory over Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain in Granada.

The Wolverines held a six-point halftime lead, but hit eight of their 15 three-pointers as a team in the second half, outsourcing the Jaguars 42-24 over the final 18 minutes.

Carter Olson hit eight three-pointers and finished with a career-high 31 points in the win for the Wolverines. Grant Oakland added 10 points in the win.

RRC 23-30 = 53

Red Rock Central controlled the lane Tuesday night, claiming a 53-39 victory over Westbrook-Walnut Grove in Lamberton.

The Falcons pulled down 16 offensive rebounds as a team and outscored the Chargers 38-24 in the paint.

Jayden Lang led the Falcons with 18 points in the win. Corey Arkell added 12 points. Isaac Simonson had nine points and 13 rebounds.
