Mt. Lake superintendent plans to retire

The Mt. Lake Public School District will likely be looking for new leadership, beginning with the 2024-25 school year.

At Tuesday’s meeting, the Mt. Lake Public School Board heard a letter of intent to retire from Supt. Bill Strom, pending approval of his 2024 contract. Strom noted that once his contract for the current school year is approved, he would submit his official resignation/retirement letter to the board.

Strom has served as a school administrator for 38 years and has been at Mt. Lake Public School for the past 20. He served at Mt. Lake Christian School prior to that.
