GIRLS BASKETBALL: Eagles race past Arrows

Windom 44-43 = 87

The Windom Eagle girls basketball team cranked things up halfway through the opening half Thursday and didn’t let up, racing to an 87-33 victory over Pipestone at Windom.

After a slow start, the Eagles ended the second half on a 32-7 surge over the final eight minutes.

The offensive fireworks continued in the second half, as the Eagles hit 15 three-pointers as a team in the game. Windom also outscored Pipestone 25-0 in transition.

Hannah Dauer led the Eagles with 24 points in the win. Haidyn Sammons finished with 21 points and seven assists. Hadley Sammons had 13 points and 15 assists in the win.
