BOYS HOCKEY: Bulldogs blank Eagles

The Windom Area boys hockey team couldn’t get going on offense Thursday night, dropping an 8-0 decision to Minnesota River at the Windom Arena.

The Bulldogs scored three goals in the first 6:09 of the game, then added a fourth goal with 1:06 left in the opening period to take a commanding 4-0 lead.

Minnesota River then added two goals in the second period, going up 6-0. The Bulldogs scored a shorthanded goal early in the third and added a power play goal for the game’s final goal.

The Eagles were held to 13 shots on goal in the game, with just four in the final two periods.

Goalie Adam Dahna finished with 25 saves in the loss.
