Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey mounted a furious second-half rally to force overtime Thursday, but ran out of gas in the extra period, falling 67-62 to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton in Tyler.

The Wolverines trailed by 14 at halftime, but caught fire in the second half. MLAC hit four three-pointers and went 11-of-13 from the line as a team to rally to tie the game at 57 at the end of regulation.

But in the extra period, RTR held the Wolverines to a single three-pointer and the Wolverines went cold from the stripe, going 2-of-7.

Annika Brinkman led the Wolverines with 21 points. Julia Brinkman scored 15. Ella Peters and Alexis Romsdahl each added 10 points.
