TUESDAY BOYS BASKETBALL: Eagles fall to Bucs, Wolverines rally past Falcons

Blue Earth Area bombed away from the outside Tuesday night, cruising to an 87-66 victory over the Windom boys basketball team at Blue Earth.

The Bucs held off Eagle rallies late in both halves behind hot shooting. BEA shot 46% from the field for the game and was 48% from three-point range.

But the difference was the Bucs hit 20 three-pointers as a team in the game, compared to seven treys for the Eagles.

Elliot Serreyn led the Eagles with 21 points. Drew Rothenberger scored 17 and Job Ogeka added 12.

RRC 29-24 = 53
MLAC 23-40 = 63

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey used a late surge in the second half to overtake Red Rock Central Tuesday night, claiming a 63-53 victory at Mt. Lake.

RRC shook off an early double-digit deficit, storming into the lead late in the first half and leading by six at the break.

MLAC battled back, taking the lead early in the second half before the Falcons eventually tied the game. But a 7-0 blitz by the Wolverines with just over four minutes to play gave MLAC the lead for good.

Grant Oakland led MLAC with 15 points. Carter Olson added 14 and Alex Karschnik scored 13 in the win.

Corey Arkell led the Falcons with 16 points. Isaac Simonson finished with 15 points and 23 rebounds. Jayden Lang added 12 points.
